My goal

What is the Darwin award?
In the next couple of weeks I will be looking at the winner of the Darwin Award and their geographical history.
The official definition on the Darwin Award homepage states that:

"The Darwin Awards commemorate individuals who protect our gene pool by making the ultimate sacrifice of their own lives: by eliminating themselves in an extraordinarily idiotic manner, thereby improving our species' chance of long-term survival."

So basically anyone who  commits an accidental suicide in such a dumb manner, that even after their death, they still get honoured for it.

While doing research for this school project, I have found myself very surprised at the many different ways someone could die accidentally. There is the man who sent a bomb in a nice package in the hope to kill the person opening it, the only problem was that the mailing address wasn't filled out correctly, and the package got sent back to him. Without remembering the package he opened the box in excitement, and of course the self made bomb, blew up in his face.
Now, I don't know about you but if I were to send a letter bomb I would make sure that the mailing address was correct and I would certainly recognise the box if it came back, but than again that's me.

Since this is called the Geography of the Darwin award I will be looking at the winners of the last years and the country the accident occurred in. There are so many examples of Darwin winners out there by now that it is hard to pick out the best ones.
